Dear Karen,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of a dear sister. I lost Lisa nearly seven years ago. I will pray that all of your sadness will soon evolve to the sweetest of memories. You are blessed to have so many siblings around you.

Karen, Kimberly, and Kathryn
I met Karleen in 1982. She and I worked together and soon became friends. Throughout the years, I relied on Karleen as friends do and she was always there for me. Time would go by and I would not talk to or see Karleen but when I did, we would always pick up where we left off, our friendship was forever. Karleen was a caring, loving and wonderful person to all. Karleen’s beliefs were strong which made her the best friend to have. I have so many good memories of her. One memory I would like to share is the time Greg Allman Band came to Ferrum College. We had to see Greg, so she and I found our way to the back entrance of the banquet room where Greg and his band were being served dinner. There we took turns peeping through the window to get a look at Greg and his band. I remember that event like it was yesterday. I am blessed to have had her in my life. I will miss her and I love her. Karleen is now what she was here on earth…an angel. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at your time of loss.
Cheryl

Karleen was a great person and alot of fun to be around. We use to work together and we laughed all the time. It was only weeks ago we ran into each other at Kroger and we got a few laughs in then.
I know you are now resting peacefully my friend.

I wish to thank Karleen's large extended family, especially her Willow Creek family, for the compassion and generousity shown to us this last week.
Susan, Dale, Oliver, Jessica & Hayla, you brought a special light to Karleen's life that continues to shine on us. You have become family to us, too.
I have found great comfort in experiencing the Love & Friendship that has surrounded Karleen these many years she lived in Rocky Mount. I now understand why she felt she was "home" when she moved to the area in 1977.
Blessings to you all.
