To the Alphin Family. Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss. I met and got to know Dr. Alphin through our association in the Buchanan Rotary Club where Dr. Alphin was a generous mainstay of the organization for so many years. Although we are relative newcomers to the Buchanan area, Dr. Alphin's leadership and popularity in the local community became very apparent to us early on. He will be sorely missed by everyone in and around Buchanan.

Charlie, Martha, Brian, and David,

How I wish I could have had one more conversation with Dr. Alphin! He was one of the most colorful and interesting people I have ever known. Of course, he was my dentist for many years, but I also worked for him for a year and got to know him a bit better than some folks as we bantered back and forth on all sorts of topics.

Dr. Alphin was a pillar of Buchanan, the kind of person who gives more than most and who works harder than most. I'm sorry for your loss and for the community's loss as well.

My family sends its thoughts and prayers to you and yours.
