Albert Williams Obituary

Albert Williams, 91, of Shawsville, Va., passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on January 4, 1918, to the late George and Jennie Wheeling Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Thomas Williams; brother, Richard Williams; and grandson, Jeffrey Williams. He was a carpenter for the Radford Arsenal and attended the First Church of God in Christiansburg, Va. He is survived by, his son, Nelson Williams, of Pilot, Va.; grandson, James Williams; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Nathan Williams; special friend, Heather Nolan; nieces, Carol Shores and husband, Freddie, and Edith Akers and husband, Boyd; and special friends, Essie Bowles, and Randy and Cindy Pannell. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009, from the Chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2009, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Williams family is being served by Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, Va.
