Some of my favorite memories of my aunt are of big family gatherings at her house. She really went all out when decorating for the holidays and the dining room table was always overflowing with awesome food.

I have such fond memories of going out antiquing with Jane Ann, my mom and Ginny. Due to Jane Ann's love of antiques, her homes were always decorated so beautifully, she had that "nesting" instinct.

One time Jane Ann and Ginny got a hammer and knocked out a wall in my mother's living room because they decided it would look better and why pay a contractor to do it?

I think my best memories of all was seeing all the Matheny siblings together, laughing and telling stories, reminiscing. That was so great.

I worked with Jane for many years at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was such a knowledgeable addition to our nursing leadership team, and that knowledge was openly and generously shared. I shared her love for antiques and would see her often at antique shows.
You all have my deepest sympathy for the loss of such a lovely lady and dedicated nurse.
