Frances Farmer Obituary

Frances Hixon Farmer (Susie), 79, of Radford, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009. She was a loving and devoted mother, who raised her children in a Christian home. She was preceded in death by sons, James Eddie Farmer and Gary Henry Farmer, mother and stepfather, Mary McGuire Burk and Harry Burk, father, Charles Luck Hixon Sr. and brother, Charlie Hixon Jr. She is survived by daughters, Mary ill, Alice McPeak and Jo Ann Farmer; son, Roger Farmer; sister, Betty Jo Hixon; sisters-in-law, Martha Farmer, Ann Poff, Mary Hixon; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a great many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thanks to all at Skyline Nursing and Rehab in Floyd and Mountain Valley Hospice for being such good caregivers and good friends. Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. , with the Reverend Jim Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Im very sorry for your lost. I will miss frances I took care of her every night at the nursing home. she will be sadly missed.
