Shalynda Toney Obituary

To all of the Pastors, Intercessors, churches and hurting hearts that reached out to us, prayed for us, and stood with us during Shalynda's transition, we are grateful. Shai had a way of reaching people and winning their hearts, her life continues to speak even in the midst of all of this. We give God the glory for a young life that was well lived. We would like to give special thanks to President Nancy Gray and the Hollins University staff, Tina Rocchio and the Arcadia University staff, Inner-Faith Fellowship Ministries, High Street Baptist Church, Pastor Michael Penn and Galilean House of Worship, Elder Shantae Yonger and the Shekinah Choir, and Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home for the many ways you have ministered to us during this difficult time. Please continue to support us in prayer as we face the days ahead. Sincerely,
The family of Shalynda Toney

To family of Shalynda,
I do not know any of your family but I have read of your tragic loss and having lost a 17-year-old son many years ago, I do know of your pain. You do have the comfort of knowing Shalynda was a wonderful young woman and was doing what she felt was her calling. Prayer got me through many dark days and my wish is that you will find the same comfort in the days ahead. Treasure the memories of your loved one.
Simcerely,
A mom who has been there.
