Buford Mack

Buford Mack, 73, of Sheridan, Oregon, passed away on October 31, 2009. Buford, son of Percy and Julia Hughes Mack, was born on December 22, 1935, in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Buford served 20 plus years in the United States Navy, receiving the Vietnam Combat Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Expedition Force Medal, Good Conduct Four Star and the Vietnam Medal, along with several letters of Commendation. Buford is survived by his wife, Betty, of Sheridan; son, David, of Portland, Oregon; mother, Julia H. Mack; brothers, Howard (Juanita), Richard (Juanita), Larry (Brenda), Billy (Linda) Mack, all of Rocky Mount, Virginia, Joe Mack (Diane), of Pinole, California; and sister, Doris Mack Smith (Elmer), of Rocky Mount, Virginia. A memorial service will be held on November 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E. church in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
