DEAR Family It is with great sadness and heavy heart that I join all of Shirley's friends and extended family in mourning.Shirley & I began our journey together in 1938 when we became Sisters. We shared so many wonderful memories as we grew to adults. Shirley was a natural at playing the Organ and I would sing. We got to share in the joys of many Weddings and Church services. Shirley was a woman of Faith and lived each day to honor God. She in turn passed this on to her Family. The bond between a Mother and a Child is a special one and lives forever. Also is the bond between Sisters. As the days go by comfort each other and know that your Mother will always be with you. I will always miss our Rosebud and wish that I could have said Goodbye. She was my Sister, Friend and Hero. Aunt Anne & Family

Dear Uncle Don, Karen, Cindy, and Lori Kay. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Shirley. I have a lot of fond memories of her and am sorry for our loss. She was truly a loving person and I will miss her. I am only sorry that I was not notified of her condition so that I could have at least spoke to her again. She is with the Father now and will be united with all who have went before her. What a wonderful promise from our Lord. Peace of the Lord is with you at this time of mourning and may God heal your pain. Love Ricky

To uncle Don, Karen, Cindy, Lori, and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Aunt Shirley. She will be truely miss by all of us. She definitely had the Holy Spirit in her. We loved her and we wish we could have been there for her. My mom will miss her dearly. She was a wonderful sister to my mom and a wonderful aunt to my brothers and I. She had a heart of gold like grandma did. She is now in Heaven and one day; we will be all united in Heaven with grandma, grandpa, and everyone else in the family. She will be in our hearts forever with fond memories. God had prepared a place for her and now she is in a place of no pain or suffering with our Lord and Savior. She is in a new body and she is singing and playing the organ with Jesus. She was a wonderful blessing in our lives and will be truely miss. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. God will be with all of us and comfort us in his arms. All our love, Melody, Dan, John, Anne Rose, Jimmie Rose, Rick, Doug, Chris, Mark, spouses, and children and Arita Futch. God bless and take care, Melody

Dear Don and Lori,
I am so sorry to hear about Shirley. I really enjoyed sitting with her while she was ill at the hospital. I also enjoyed meeting most of the family. I know that she will be missed but she is no longer in pain and is with the Lord in a better place.

Dear Mrs. Russell, I'm so sorry about your mom. She sounds like she was a wonderful person. I'm sure she is rejoicing with Jesus right now. I know that she loved you, your sisters and your dad very much and I'm sure she was thinking of you during her last molments before she heard Jesus call her name. I am praying for you and your family.

To Don, Karen, Cindy, Lori , their spouses and children. We were so very sorry to hear about Shirley. Ray and I have so many great memories from Bethany in Miami as she worked with the Gabriels and we were blessed to have them all in the youth group. What a time in our memory bank. Shirley's love for God, her family, friends and music was so evident in her life. Our last memory of her was when we visited you & her, Don, in Virginia quite a few years ago. ?We went back in time and sang together while she played the piano. We will do it again when we are all praising Jesus together.
Our love and prayers go to all of you. Know that you are all loved very much and wish we could be there, but will be in spirit.
Lots of Love

I am so sorry to hear about Shirley. She was such an important part of my upbringing in Miami and at Bethany. I will always remember and cherish her broad smile....love flowing from her eyes....it was contagious. When she played the piano, the music seemed to fill her up. I especially loved it when she and my mother would giggle together...even over the simplest things...they seemed to have the same 'funny bone'. To hear those giggles again would be everything. Please relay to the entire family my deepest condolences and love....and add a hug for Karen, Cindy & Lori for me.
