May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Wayne touched everyone's life he encountered. I'm blessed I was another lucky one who knew him and had the opportunity to hear his wonderful music he played camping or hanging out at Stu and Nina's.
My love, thoughts and prayers are with the family and all the friends that Wayne touched so deeply.

Regrettably it's been a lttile while Wayne but I will never forget you.I will remember you as a friend, a bandmate, a mentor, storyteller, phillosopher, and a helluva musician. I remember the way the hands of the working man layed across the neck of that Telecaster with the touch and finesse of a surgeon, his soulful bluesy voice that could have only been earned not learned. We'll never forget, thanks for being part of our lives. Peace and love to you, your family, and friends. Mike and Cheryl Hudson

I MISS YOU BUDDY. ALL THE RANDOM CONVERSATIONS ABOUT MUSIC, BIKES, RELIGION, WOMEN, AND ANYTHING ELSE WE COULD THINK OF. I'M GLAD WE GOT TO HAVE THAT LAST CUP OF COFFEE AND A DOUGHNUT ON FRIDAY. I TOLD YOU I WOULD GET DARLA RUNNING AND I'M GOING TO MAKE GOOD ON MY PROMISE. IF I NEED A LITTLE MIRACLE ON A 2AM SERVICE CALL, HOOK A BROTHER UP WITH SOME HELP FROM ABOVE. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU TAUGHT ME AT WORK AND ABOUT LIFE, FOR ALWAYS LETTING ME VENT WHEN I NEEDED TO, AND FOR BEING A GOOD FRIEND. I LOVE YOU, I MISS YOU AND I KNOW YOU ARE PAINTING THE PEARLY GATES GREEN SO THEY WILL NOT BE RUSTY WHEN THE REST OF US GET THERE.

Thank you Lord , for allowing Wayne Henderson to be a part of our lives,a lifetime of memories, some seem a blur now, clouded by our youthful and foolish ways, as he wondered his way thru our lives.
trying to find his own answers, how he should live, what kind of man, should he be, how could he make peace within his heart, for his family and friends.
I believe he knew his time was at hand these last few months,
and soon he would be with his God.

He loved to read , novels of different writers , topics and events, guitar and biker mags
but the bible was the book he treasured most, he even got us one,We must have gave him cause to wonder. Would Nina and I find our own peace?

His music and guitars were his friends for life, but he slowly let the guitar lay aside though I would still coax him into playing a few of his favorite songs now and then, blues and honky tonk and the rock we grew up on,echoed thru his life.
his bike and the open road became one of his most favorite pastimes, he would ride in the bitter cold of winter same as a sunny day in July...he'd ride with his friends,he'd ride to go fishin', he would ride to see other bikers at events and he loved to see them race when he could. He dreamed of going to Bonnieville Salt Flats this coming year .

He suffered his sadness, though he would rarely speak out loud of it,he was a rare breed, and if you were his friend ,it was because he allowed it.If he was cross it was because he was provoked and cornered.I've seen him give his belongings to strangers and do without so others could have better.
I'll see you when I'm done, You and Don keep those guitars in tune....

He used to show up at our house every once in awhile. Then a few years ago he was showing up every week. He then became part of the family. He was with us when our son died, and Jeremy our older son thought of him as a second Dad,not an uncle.
They would sit and have long discussions. Our grandkids loved him to no end. At Christmas he has a stocking right with the rest of the family. He spent his holidays with us. Even the friends of our sons thought he was awesome. We joked that he was my second husband, because I took care of him and Stuart.

Wayne,
I am so thankful to have had you in my life. Your presence in the Bethel household in my experience has been such a natural one, a necessary balance to your brother and friend, and someone for us 'youngins' to look up to and learn from. I am proud to call you family and we all will miss you dearly. Your love for music, your love for life, and your acceptance of all it has to offer have been appreciated by many. Your stories of days I wish I could have seen have given me glimpses into other places in a way that I might, just for a moment, understand.
We all love you Wayne. I'll see you at that Rally in the Sky, elder brother. Until then you are in our hearts, and I hope you enjoy the freedom now that you always sought here.
