I just talked to Annette Stewart tonight and she told me about Tyler. I am so shocked and very saddened. I have been out of town the last 10 days or I would have been there to support your family at the services. I was talking about Tyler with friends just this past week in Washington D.C. One of the ladies I was with is diabetic. I told my friends how responsible Tyler had been and how well adjusted and positive even at his young age. I will never forget that darling young man in our class. He was such an amazing person and so kind to everybody. His smile melts me now even as I think about it. Please know of my sorrow for your family. I will always remember what an incredible young man that he was. He has touched my life forever. I remember the wonderful parents you were for Tyler, also. Martin & Cheri - how inadequate words are, to convey how we as friends and fellow parents feel at your loss. To have been a small part of your life and seen the wonderful warm interaction you both had with you family was inspiring. It is with great saddness that I send my conodolences for your dear Tyler. Tyler was a unique young man who showed us all that his diabetes would not keep him from enjoying all that life had to offer. Our family's fond memories of enjoying Lake Powell wakeboarding and fishing, weekend cabin trips snowmobiling and Christmas gatherings with Tyler will be forever cherished. As Ali and I reminisced about Tyler last evening she brought up the most random memory of Tyler at Lake Powell BBQ's always trading his fat free pieces of steak for everyone's grizzled pieces. He was truly one of a kind! He was blessed to have Manny & Paul as Grandpa's who shared their camping, hunting and fishing secrets with him. How lucky he was to have Grandma Shirley & Linda looking after his every need. Who better than Nicole could he ask for to love him as you both did? As wonderful parents you provided the perfect life for Tyler and Marissa and dedicated your life in doing so. Tyler will always be in our minds and hearts. May his memory be eternal. One of my most favorite memories of Diabetes Camp is when Tyler had a low blood sugar and I was trying to get him to drink some apple juice and he just kept saying over and over again, "Is it 100% pure apple Juice, Are you sure?" I haven't seen him for years, but I remember when he was little. I'm sure he was an outstanding person with parents like yourselves, and from the things people have written about him.

To my FAVORITE cousin and family, My heart was broken when I heard about Tyler. I can only imagine the light he was in your lives. I truly hope that your hearts are warmed and comforted with the 18 loving and treasured years you shared together as a family. May you be able to face the days ahead with the same strength and courage that Tyler demonstrated in his life here on earth.
