Gloria Brown Obituary
Gloria Diane Brown, age 53, of Madison, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 26, 2008, at the University of Virginia Hospital.
She was born September 10, 1955, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and was the daugh-ter of the late Waymond Bradley and Mary Louise Allman Bradley.
Gloria was a member of Mt. Holly Baptist Church in Rem-ington, where she was a long-time member of the recrea-tion committee.
She is survived by her hus-band, Scott E. Brown of Madison; two daughters, Kimberly Strawser and her husband, Matthew, of Orange, Christina Sanford and her husband, Brian, of Boston, Virginia; one son, Robert "Rob" Jenkins III of Fairfax; two brothers, Lewis Bradley of Madison, Richard Bradley of Reva; one sister, Shari Jenkins of Tazwell; and five grand-children, Courtney, Emily and Madison Strawser, all of Orange, Bruce and Carson Sanford of Boston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008, at Mt. Holly Baptist Church, with interment at the church cemetery. The Rever-end Chaz Campbell will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sun-day, September 28, 2008, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gloria Brown Memorial Fund, C/O Mt. Holly Baptist Church 6172 Sumer-duck Rd., Remington, VA 22734. Preddy Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Rand and I just found out about your mom's passing. What a shock. We are all devastated including Dennis and Paul. We loved her so much and were so thankful for all the love she gave Dennis and Paul growing up. She was so special to us. We are very sorry we lost track of her through the years. We would love to hear from you sometime. Please give our regrets to everyone in the family, espcially Kim, Crissy and Robbie.
