Thea Zablocki (Bastinck) of Nutley died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Canterbury at Cedar Grove. Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, www.swbrown andson.com, 267 Centre St., Nutley, is on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Belleville. Interment to follow in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Amsterdam, Holland, Mrs. Zablocki lived in North Arlington before moving to Nutley over 50 years ago. She was an RN at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. She received her B.S. in biology from Douglass College and her nursing degree from Essex County College. She was a volunteer nurse for Camp Fatima for the Handicapped, a former volunteer at the Nutley Red Cross Blood Bank and a former den mother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Henry S. Zablocki; her sons, Michael P. and David Zablocki, and her brothers, Edison and James Bastinck.
