I knew Elise briefly at ASD (Conn) and she was great with my daughter, Kim who stayed at the school once a week overnight. I just can't believe this would happen to a great gal!
I know she had talents and encouraged her but she chose what she wanted and only hope Leo knows she chose LOVE.

Elise was a blessing to everyone who met her. She was a positive and joyful person. Now it is her spirit and memories that will continue to be gifts to us. I am thankful to have known her the short time I did. Her family has been extra blessed, for they have known her the longest. I hope that soon their sense of lost becomes one of peace and comfort.

Leo, Lucette, Jason, Louis, and Alice,
May God help you through this difficult time. I am so sorry I will not be there for the funeral. I just heard the news late last night.
You and your family mean so much to me. I will never forget her/your generosity and friendship, while growing up next door. Elise was always there to take me with you guys...whether it was to the YMCA, school, Church, or whatever you were doing.
She was truly a wonderful woman with an amazingly big heart, infectious laugh, and loving spirit.
I'm so grateful we saw her in April. The smiles and laughter we shared watching my girls play are memories I'll treasure.
I love you guys! Please pass my thoughts to Camille and your grandmother. You are in our prayers!
All our love,
Ronnie, Kelly, Alyssa, Ashley, Lazy, and Bullseye

I am just learning of Elise's death. I will miss her so very much. She was such an inspiration to not only me but to so many people. Her strong faith was such a wonderful example to all of us. I will miss her daily emails encouraging me when I should have been the one encouraging her. She had such devotion to the Blessed Mother, and I know that God was with her during this final journey. What a beautiful gift to God of our friend Elise. She touched so many lives and made mine richer through her joyous love of family, friends, her pets and life. She taught us all to count our blessings. My love to all of her family which she loved so dearly. She never worried about herself, but about Leo and her children. God blessed me by having a friend like Elise. I thank God for blessing me with this special friendship.

You're in our thoughts and have our deepest condolences.
I'll never forget your mom, she was a very special lady and we were all blessed to have known her. I'm just glad I got to witness her infectious smile and laugh one last time before she passed away far too early.

Leo, Lucette, and Louise, It is so hard to hear the news of Elise passing.
One thing my father told me as he was leaving this earth was to never stop talking about him or sharing his life with otheres. When one hides memories away and no longer share the good of a loved ones life, they are truly gone.
Your mom has many wonderful stories to be shared with all who knew her and those who did not.
As many have said her laugh was so infectious. You could not help but smile everytime you heard it. Elise was as dear as a sister, and we so enjoyed out time bring up you children. Please know we will always remember and love her and wish you peace knowing she is at rest from her long battle.

I am truly sorry for the passing of your wife and mother. When I first met Elise at Gally back in 1965,she was so awesome lady and was well liked by all of us who knew her. The last conversation we had was about Jesus as her Lord, knowing that he was preparing a mansion for her in His Kingdom (John 14:1,2)..She will be sorely missed..

Dear Ones,
Elise and I were roommates at Gallaudet during our prep year. We kept in touch from time to time as years went by.
The last time, we were together, was when we attended Marilyn O'Leary's wedding. We had fun visiting. That was really nice.
You have my deepest sympathy. She had suffered so much as I was well kept up to date on her well being. May she rest in peace.

What a wonderful time I had with Elise while she was here on earth. I know that she was an Angel here to spread her love to all who knew her. She had a ready smile and infectious laugh! To have been loved by her was a gift from God.
Leo and kids, find strength in the knowledge that Elise was a wonderful Angel here and she's probably doing a carving of a kitty up in heaven. God Bless.

Lucette and Louis and Leo, I know that she is at peace and is with Heavenly Father. i was unable to see or visit her because I have surgery on Nov 9th and I was ill for sometime in Oct. I always send the msg with Donna Davis or Hubert Meliet to give it to Elise to let her know that i have not forgotten her and tell her that i am praying for her's intention. Last time she and i have dinner before she had kidney remove last november 2004 was at Jason's Deli for last time and how we both want to see St Theresa's movie together at that time but i did not get to see the movie but she did. She is truly inspirational and was ready to go and she accepted the suffering that God have to offer to her and trust that God have plan for her without explanation. She is truly remarkable person and she got a chance to go to Medjourge to come home with different attitude and to know what is the most important thing is catholic faith. she taught the confirmation deaf kids how to fast and she saw deaf kids made their confirmation and pray for them and gave them gifts. she want them to know how important their catholic faith is and she is great example to them because they will be the leader in the future to teach other the deaf kids. she wanted to send the confirmation kids to catholic deaf camp with Father MIke Dipitki because she believe in them and it is my hope to see her dream to fulfill in the future in the memory of her. I was bless to see her and talk with her for the last time before she move in with Louis. God works in mysterious ways to have our computer broke and use the excuse to go to her house to check my email and talk with her at the same time.
God bless you, Susan Treuil
