Frank Valentino Obituary

FRANK M. "FRANKIE" VALENTINO SR.
ITHACA - Frank M. "Frankie" Valentino Sr., 70, of Ithaca, died October 9, 2008 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. Frank was born December 21, 1937 in Cortland, NY, the son of the late Michael and Theresa Pandosi Valentino.
Frank was a 1956 graduate of Cortland High School. Frank was a dedicated employee of the Lansing Instrument Company of Ithaca, NY for over 20 years. Frank was a member and faithful servant of the First Assembly of God Church in Ithaca.
Frank was an avid dog person and he and his wife raised, trained show dogs for 35 plus years. During all of this time he was a member of the Finger Lakes Kennel Club of Ithaca, and has many dear friends.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years this November, Carol Skinner Valentino; his son, Frank M. (Charlene) Valentino Jr. of Stevensville, Montana; his daughter, Laura (Richard) Argus of Clifton Springs, New York; his two grandchildren Katrina and Bradley Argus; his three stepgrandchildren; his great-granddaughter, Natyiah; his brothers, Robert (Kathy) Valentino of Las Vegas, NV, Frederick (Katherine) Valentino of Lancaster, CA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, in the Cortland and Syracuse Area.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister, Rosemary Valentino - Reynolds.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 197 Bostwick Road, Ithaca, NY, with Pastor John Sotero officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank's name may be directed to the charity of one's choice. Wright-Beard Funeral Home Cortland is assisting the family.
