Robert Koenig Obituary

ROBERT KOENIG
Robert Koenig, of Burdett, NY and Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Growing up in St. Louis, MO, Robert served in Europe in Patton's Third Army in WWII. After earning a degree in electrical engineering at St. Louis University, Robert had a career on Long Island, NY as a manufacturer of electrical ribbon switches which he invented and patented. Robert was an instrument rated pilot and accumulated over 3850 hours. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Carol; his three daughters, Michele Koenig, Renate Koenig, and Christina Koenig; his brother, Donald Koenig; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his twin brother, Richard; and parents, Ernest and Selma.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 525 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection or KFUO Lutheran Radio, 85 Founders Lane, St. Louis, MO 63105. Rennie, I’m so sorry for your great loss. With his probing intellect and adventurous spirit, Bob left a lasting mark. I’ll treasure the friendship we had, and I won’t forget his unfailing kindness toward me. May God bless you and your sweet daughters, Kathleen and Rebecca. May warm memories you have of your father and the love he had for you heal your spirits.
