Cyli, I always thought I'd hear your laugh again. I hope heaven is filled with rivers and old computer games. I'll put the kayak in the water for you this weekend, and maybe crash a program or two.

To Leah and family -- We were sorry to hear about your mom. Someday you'll have to tell us how she became known as the "minnow queen." Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love,
1980-something, I think.

I'm blinking and hoping that it's not true, because it's all too sudden.
She was a wise soul, she made me laugh and think, and I wish I had known her better.

I never met Cyli in person, but she was an absolutely indispensible part of our online community, and we are the poorer for her absence. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

In honor of my great friend Nancy I put a boat into a river today. I couldn't shake the feeling that Nancy was along for the ride. Especially when I had a chance to get out and walk in the river and chase the minnows.
You made a huge difference in many lives, we won't forget you my friend!

I knew Cyli from online fandom, but her words provided a perfect picture of her wonderful heart. I loved reading her posts. I'm really going to miss her.

'Cyli' taught me more than she or I probably ever realised at the time. Straight talking but always polite and respectful, she won over many hearts and minds in the backwaters of Usenet.
My sincere condolences go to her family and friends.

You'll be missed, but never forgotten. You definitely proved that you don't have to give up having fun as a grown-up. Loved having you as a friend.

So many words to say and none of them seem quite right.
Thank you for being everything you were to everyone you met. I'm a better person for having known you, and I suspect I'm not alone in that.

Farewell to a very nice lady
Squirrels and minnows brightened her day,
and she brightened others along the way,
even for those who she never met,
Thank you Cyli, we wont forget........

Cyli, my heart is sad today. I will miss you and your wit. Even now, you are probably regaling a new group of friends with your stories.

A fiery spark is suddenly extinguished. I am so sad. Nancy was generous, raucous, cynical, sensitive and so fun to hang out with. She will be missed by many who have very fond memories of her!

She was unique. I'm so glad I knew her. And now as the Minnow Goddess moves on to whatever is next, our hopes and thoughts go with her.
It's going to be a much more mundane world without her.

One of the last things Nancy told me was that she would never be giving me another Tarot reading. Thanks for being right (again), Cyli. That is the only thing I won't be missing. We'll save you an honorary seat at the poker table.

No one lives forever, but it still came as a complete shock to learn of Nancy's illness followed in less than 36 hours by the news of her passing.
We will miss her, remember her and hopefully make good use of the life lessons she taught us.
