Kaila Boatman Obituary

Kaila Marie Boatman

Our beloved daughter, Kaila Marie Boatman, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sheryl Helms and her uncle, Thomas Boatman, Jr.

Kaila was born on March 17, 1999 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She loved that she was born on St. Patrick's Day and green was one of her favorite colors. She was full of life and love for all those around her. She was fun, sweet, caring and truly blessed those around her. We are abundantly grateful for the time we had with her. We are looking forward to the day we see her again, sitting with Jesus and smiling. She could always make people laugh and her laugh was the most contagious laugh ever. It is one we will never forget.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Matthew and Brenda Boatman, her mother, Jenifer Schmidt; brothers, Kyle and Kaleb; sisters, Serenadey and Brielle; her grandparents, Tom and Donna Boatman and Ellis and Vicky McMath and many other family members.

Kaila was excited to be a college student and wanted to go on to become a midwife. She was a hard worker and loved going on mission trips to Mexico each year to help tell others about Jesus Christ. When friends were hurting she was there for them to make them laugh and make things better. She would lead them to Jesus through their low valleys. For that love and compassion we will always be truly thankful.

Kaila, you taught us what true love was from the moment you were placed in our arms. It was a blessing to watch you grow into a fabulous young woman and you brought so much pride to all who loved you. Your bright smile, contagious laugh, and vibrant personality touched everyone you came in contact with. You will always be our baby girl! Until we meet again, our Beautiful Angel!

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Sagebrush Community Church at 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. Being a St. Patrick's Day baby, Kaila enjoyed anything green, so we encourage you to wear green.

It was a blessing to spend time with Kaila on mission trips to Mexico where we shared Christmas with the orphans. I also look forward to seeing her again in heaven where we will all be in the presence of our Jesus!
