Margaret Schmierer Obituary
Margaret Helen Schmierer passed into the hands of our Lord peacefully Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2018 at home in Albuquerque, NM. She was born Margaret Helen Sippel, February 1, 1928 in Missoula, Montana. Margaret was a blessing to all those who knew her as she traveled through life as an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Albuquerque African Violet Club, Church Women United, United Methodist Women, all while guiding her children through their lives. She is survived by Beth Hughes, son, Gary Schmierer, wife Mary, five children, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren of Ridgecrest, CA; daughter, Elizabeth Stickney, husband Jeff, four children of Albuquerque, NM; Gwen Schmierer, three children, and one great-grandchild of Reno, NV.
Services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 420 San Lorenzo Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104, followed by a reception in the Church Hall. Interment will be at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery beside her husband of 65 years, Thomas Jules Schmierer. Please visit our online guest book for Margaret at
