Funeral service for Jesse Cleveland "JC" Johnson , 89, will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Dr. Steve Dempsey will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson passed away on Thursday at Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia. Survivors include his daughter, Pat Rivers (Eddie); sons, John Johnson (Brenda) and Paul Johnson (Karen); sisters, Frances Price and Marie Murphy; brother, Doug Johnson; grandchildren, J Johnson, Jessica Shumaker, Jeromy Johnson, Justin Johnson, Jonathan Rivers; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be J Johnson, Jeromy Johnson, Justin Johnson, Jonathan Rivers, Tom Shumaker and Al McMath. Mr. Johnson was a member of Cheaha Baptist Church. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the US Army surviving during WWII. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Johnson.
