Ramona Curry Obituary

Born April 6, 1929 in Bainville, Montana, Ramona Nelson Curry passed away August 17, 2016 in Laguna Niguel, CA at the age of 87. Her husband Graydon Leslie "Les" Curry preceded her in death.

Upon graduating from Bainville High School in 1947, Ramona attended Montana State College (now Montana State University) in Bozeman where she graduated in 1951 with a degree in Home Economics before embarking on a teaching career. It was while attending Montana State that she met her future husband. They married on June 4, 1955.

Ramona and Les spent their early years together in many towns throughout Montana before eventually moving and settling in Davis, CA. Davis was the community they would come to refer to as home, and it is in Davis where they would live for 27 years and raise their four children.

Ramona is survived by her son Michael and his wife Janice; her daughter LeAnn and her husband Robert Pfeil; her daughter Denise and Marcia Foster; her son Ryan and his wife Kari; her grandchildren Nicholas (and his wife Devon), Graydon (and his wife Ashley), Larson, Samuel, Marissa, Nici, Railey, and Ryker; her brother Dean Nelson and his wife Jean; her sister Aloha Eads; her dear friends Paul "Rusty" Rostock, the Strombergs, the Flemings, and the Pytels; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A private graveside service is planned in Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Davis Senior High School Blue and White Foundation (dhsblueandwhite.org).
