If you know the store, then you knew him. He was the tall man w/ the mustache, the one who knew your kids, knew your medium, knew your way of looking at things. He knew way more about servanthood than he did about art. He loved his store and we loved him

I worked for Jay from 1988-2004 as a technical advisor in their airbrush department...Jay helped build an empire of meeting and treating an artists needs much as a doctor helps his patients...everyone loved and respected the man...his ability to get things done was unmatched by anyone at Crest Art and Binders...he will be missed in a great way...

My deepest sympathy to Jay's family. He was one of the finest gentlemen and a wonderful supporter of our arts community but I always felt his family came first in his heart. When I invited him to an event he said he would try to make it but that he needed to be with his family. He will be sorely missed by all.
