Steve managed an Atlanta Bar Association softball team that I played on for more than 10 years. News of Steve's passing came to me with great shock and sadness. He was simply the best man I have ever known. My own experience tells me that sharing a life with a very good person, however briefly, makes life worth living.

A wonderful man passed through the lives of so many of us in different ways. How blessed are his children to have had such a great dad. He will be a part of their lives in all their actions. You are the family everyone looked up to and still do. Continue to feel his love, his light shines on. Charis Dike

I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I grew up with him in Janesville, Wisconsin. We were next door neighbors for 17 years and had great fun in our neighborhood during summer break from school. I knew his family and those years are cherished. I am sure Steve will be missed by all who knew him.

May you be comforted by friends, family, and lots of memories. I will never forget when I visited Steve, Sue, and the kids from August 15th to August 22, 1986. Steve and Sue were a great host and hostess. Never will forget Steve's sense of humor. He reminded me so much of my dad in that he was gregarious, outgoing, and had so many talents. I am forever grateful to hae met Steve and will never forget the wonderful visit had with Steve, Sue, and the children.
