Emily Watson Obituary

Homemaker LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Emily P. Watson, age 85, of Mulberry Street, died Monday evening February 6, 2012, in the Jefferson Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, February 9, in the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug White officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. A native of Louisville, Mrs. Watson was a daughter of the late J.B. Polhill, Jr. and Rosa Brown Polhill. She was a homemaker and a gifted teacher. She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at the Louisville A.R.P. Church where she was a member for over forty years. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Thomas Watson, Jr. a brother, J.B. Polhill, III, and is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Polly and Gary Cowart of Evans, and Hunter and Eric Cardinal of Taylors, SC; son and daughter-in-law: John Thomas Tom Watson, III and Sonya of Louisville; sisters: Rosa P. Green of Louisville, and Lois P. Sheppard & husband Tag of Louisville; eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the residence on Mulberry Street and will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. If so desired memorials may be made to the Louisville A.R.P.
