William Kelly Obituary
Augusta, GA—Entered into rest on Friday, January 1, 2021, Mr. William "Bill" James Kelly, Sr., 74, loving husband of 51 years to Phyllis Kelly.
Bill served in the United States Air Force as a munitions specialist and worked at SRS for 36 years as a construction engineer. He loved being outdoors, fishing, traveling, and collecting coins. He loved to spend time with his family and even though he would deny it, he loved to shop.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Lori Kelly Duncan, Kristi Kelly Moyer (Jamie), and William Kelly, Jr.; grandchildren: Tyler Kelly, Dylan Moyer, Taylor Duncan, and Jimmy Duncan; sister: Peggy Kraft (Ed); brothers: George Kelly, Jr. (Denise) and Shawn Kelly; brother-in-law: Melton Smith (Susan); three fur babies: Gus, Margarita, and Casey; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Pearl Kelly; and mother and father-in-law: Melton D. and Myrtle Smith.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Jonathan Neumann officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be William Kelly, Jr., Tyler Kelly, Dylan Moyer, Jimmy Duncan, Sade Paramore-Cornwell, and Mitchell Munro.
Memorial contributions may be made to the CSRA Humane Society, P.O. Box 14667, Augusta, GA 30919 or to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3703 Riverwatch Pkwy, Martinez, GA 30907.

Bill and I enlisted in the Air Force together in January of 1966. Went through basic training together and Bill went to tech school at Hill AFB in Utah and I went to Gunter AFB Alabama. We were friends all through junior and senior high school. Bill was always a good friend throughout all the years in between.

I have so many very fond memories of Uncle Bill! He was always so much fun to visit with. I loved his sense of humor and drama free attitude! He never failed to put a smile on my face and consistently caused many belly laughs. Although I wish kind souls like him could be here forever, I know that he is now free from health issues and is doing what ever he wishes to do without struggle. Please help watch over us all, Uncle Bill, and drop us a sign here and there. I will be watching! I've always missed seeing you and I look forward to bumping into you again one day.
