JAMES MASON Obituary

Scott was the youngest son of Jasper Dallas Mason Jr. and Bonnie Jean Hammons Mason. He died unexpectedly, of natural causes. Scott was involved in athletics in high school and junior college, where he was a cornerback on the Renegade football team. He spent his last years as a baseball and NASCAR fan. In his final years, Scott conquered, to the extent possible, the mental illness he had suffered since he was 21 years old. His final years afforded him a more peaceful time, for which the family is extremely grateful.
Scott is survived by brothers, Jerry (Rose), Tom (Mandy); niece, Jennifer Mason Robbins (Jason); nephews, Ben Mason (Kyla) and Sam Mason (Carissa); and a bunch of cousins in California, Oklahoma, and Texas.
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Southwest. For condolences, please visit: www.greenlawnm-c.com

Scott, very sorry to hear about this. We had some fun together! Some great stories that I still tell and some of them are even true. You were a great athlete and a great friend. God Bless. Peace.
