My dear darling Jerry, it has been a year now since you left. Christmas was not the same without you. I missed your laugh, your smile, and your happy personality. No one can come close to duplicating your warmth and love at Christmas. You were my love and my soul mate, I miss you so much. Your family loves you, and misses you. We were blessed with a new baby girl this Christmas, another great grandchild, Jennifer Ford. I will be looking forward to the day I will join you in Heaven. Dear Sharon,
We just wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers every day. We have so many wonderful memories of Jerry. So many nice things he did for us over the years. We remember the SPE parties and what fun we all had. The McEvoy days were the Best. All the guys worked together but that wasn't even half of the story. All of us became forever-lasting good and dear friends then and through all these many years since. Staying in touch and always wishing each other well.....through all the changes, good times and sad times. We remember the salad Jerry fixed for us in California with fresh garlic and lots of it. The stories of Jerry and the water-logged waders. His visit to be with us at the hospital and the twenty minute prayer. Memories of the wonderful days in the California sunshine with lemon trees beside the office parking lot. Jerry was always smiling, always happy, always laughing. Best of all, he was our friend and we will miss him terribly.
May happiness abound in Your life, may your memories be sweet and may God hold you in the palm of His Hand until we are all together again. Our love to you, Cathy and Hoss Smith

Sharon, sometimes there are just no words to say the things we feel in our hearts. I can only imagine how much Jerry meant to you. He was a very special person to all that knew him. I have many fond memories of Jerry when we worked together in Corpus with Bill McPherson. It will be easy to remember Jerry - He was one of the good ones.

Sharon, I am so pleased that you and Jerry kept me actively engaged in your retirement years. Almost daily, thanks to emails. It was always a pleasure to visit the both of you and stay in your home when we came your way. Everyone from our McEvoy lives, know how we depended on each other. I always knew how to review Jerry's annual budget, and look for the things he tried to hide as far as computers, electronics, etc. He was light years ahead of me on such things.
I know that you have family in Texas, so now you can let us know when and where. We can pay you back for the great hospitality that you showed Nanette and I when we were out there.

Your easy manner and your smile expemplified the love you gave to all those who happened to be in your presence. You were the calm in the midst of the storm and love of all was always your answer. I am so sorry for your loss. Gump was so very special too many people. He loved you so much.
He was my father when my father wasnt available. He was the life of all the party's we had always smiling and laughing. I will never forget his laugh. Gump always knew if something was wrong. He would call me on the phone and say "Lil Sweetie" is everything ok? I will miss his phone calls, but most of all I will miss his hugs and kisses. I loved him so much and will miss him dearly.

Jerry was a "Best Friend" when you needed one. He was there for me when I needed him! He remained a very special friend with me for the rest of his life. Sharon, you will survive this because you are a strong woman, and because Jerry would have wanted you to keep his memory alive with his children and grandchildren.
