SAMUEL HERNANDEZ VALENZUELA

February 22, 1942 July 16, 2021

Samuel Hernandez Valenzuela passed peacefully in the evening of July 16,2021. He had just celebrated his 79th birthday. Sammy was born in Mercedes, Texas to Pablo Valenzuela and Guadalupe Valenzuela on February 22, 1942. In 1957 he moved from Arizona to Earlimart, CA where he would spend the rest of his life. He met & married the love of his life in 1966. He was a hard worker and worked as a farm laborer.

Sammy is survived by Evangelina Valenzuela wife of 54 years, two sons Anthony Valenzuela (Trina), John Paul Valenzuela, two daughters Deborah Zarate (Lupe) and Patricia Valenzuela (Hector), brothers Rudy & Manuel Valenzuela, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family & friends. He is preceded in death by sisters Rosa Astorga, Oralia Valenzuela, sister-in-laws Lupe and Becky Valenzuela, granddaughter Gina Lopez, grandson Jessie Manuel Lopez,

great-grandson Michael Shepard.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Viewing will begin at 9:30 at Casillas Funeral Home with a Rosary and mass to follow at St. Jude Catholic Church at 11:00 in Earlimart. Burial will follow at North Kern District Cemetery in Delano Ca.
