Elizabeth Coulson Obituary

COULSON , Elizabeth S. On October 17, 2009, ELIZABETH STEFFENS COULSON, a resident of Roland Park Place, Baltimore, MD; beloved wife of the late Eugene Harvey Coulson and devoted mother of John B. Coulson and his wife, Laura. Dear grandmother of Steffens and Charles Coulson. Loving sister of George Steffens and the late Marie Williams and Dietrich Steffens. Mrs. Coulson was a strong advocate for Baltimore City living. She lived and promoted Baltimore City to it's fullest. She was a nurse in her early career at Union Memorial Hospital. After starting her family, she directed her attentions as a real estate agent for 35 years, until age 79. She was affiliated with the Chase-Fitzgerald Company for the majority of those years in real estate. She was a member of the Oakenshawe Garden Club, Roland Park Woman's Club and a long standing member of the historic Martini Lutheran Church in South Baltimore. She also continued to promote the Baltimore City through her sponsorship of it's arts and culture. She was a member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Opera, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Walters Art Museum.
Friends may call at the family owned MITCHELL-WIEDEFELD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 6500 York Road, (at Overbrook Road), Baltimore, MD 21212 on Tuesday from 4 PM to 6 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Martini Lutheran Church, 100 Henrietta Street at Hanover Street, Baltimore, MD 21230 on Wednesday, October 21 at 11 AM. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, (Druid Hill Park), Baltimore, MD. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Coulson's name to the Martini Lutheran Church or the Walters Art Museum, 600 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.

Dear John and Laura. I just learned of Aunt Betty's passing and I am sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful Childhood memories of you and your family. We will keep Aunt Betty in our prayers.

Betty was a wonderful person to know. I enjoyed all of my interactions with her. She was a supporter of St. Paul's Cemetery in Druid Hill Park in addition to her support of Martini Lutheran Church. She will be missed. The family is in my prayers.
