George,
The summer has not been the same without you sitting under the tree taking in the neighbors. We never knew he was sick and it just seemed like he was there one day and gone the next.
Thanks for all the love you shared with your neighbors.

I lived two houses down from George for about three years. "Old man George" As I liked to call him. In that time we became close pals. I was sorry to have moved. George, was very much a staple to my Baltimore as the crab cake and the oriole bird. Forever etched in mind, will be George sitting under the shade of the tree from dawn to dusk as a forever faithful fan listening to the ballgame...all summer long. He will be missed by Foster ave. We never knew how he did it, but he would have his decorations up before everyone, and nobody would see him do it. To the man that knew everything and everyone in the neighborhood, i will miss our chats. Thanks for looking after all of us for so long. I can only believe that where you are now finds you resting under the shade of a tree on a quiet summer night listening to a ballgame, but this time your team wins.
God Bless My Friend! Old Man George

George was such a kindhearted man and a wonderful neighbor. The 2600 block of Foster Avenue will miss him dearly and it won't be the same without seeing him sitting outside and filling everyone in on all the happenings. He was appreciated and admired by so many of us. My prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.
