Scott Masters Obituary
He was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Rockford, Illinois, to Earl "Butch" and Kay (Blake) Masters. He attended schools in Oregon, Ill., Mt. Morris, Ill., and Golden, Colo., before moving to Bull Shoals at age 15. He attended and graduated from Flippin High School in 1976. He also played on the Bobcats basketball team.
Following graduation, Scott cooked in restaurants in the Twin Lakes Area and Branson, Mo., before moving to Oregon, Ill. He married Paula McPherson in 1979 in Oregon and their son, Michael, was born.
After moving back to Arkansas In 1993 , he married Saundra Clark Archey in Bull Shoals and became father to her young daughters, Amanda and Samantha. The family moved to Colorado in 2001. His family was the center of his life. Scott was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Denver Broncos and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughters Amanda (Josh) Luna and Samantha Archey; son Michael (Natasha) Masters; stepsons Tom and Matt Archey; grandchildren Lorin, Ashley, Isaac, Sydney, Mariah, McKenzie, Paisley, Abigail and Emily; four great-grandchildren; stepmother Linda Masters; mother and stepfather, Kay and Richard Herr; seven siblings and spouses; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including local relatives, Ron and Bev Garkey, Wanda Jensen, Peggy Wobecky and Brenda Yancey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl "Butch" Masters; grandparents and three uncles.

Scott was a friend to everyone and probably everyone had a ride in his red Maverick auto as we cruised around the Bull Shoals/Flippin/Mountain Home area. Sorry to hear that his early smoking caught up with him to shorten his life.

The Flippin High School graduation class of 1976 enjoyed having Scott a part of our class after he moved here and many of us cruised the area in his red Maverick car. We are sorry for his early departure and offer condolences to his family.
