Clarence Adelhardt Obituary
Clarence A. Adelhardt, 100, of Troy, Ill., born July 20, 1917 in Edwardsville, Ill., passed away Aug. 28, 2017 at Morning side of Troy.
Clarence was a long time member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Ill. He served his country during WW II in the Army. He was a member of the Madison County Farm Bureau, Collinsville VFW Post 5691 and attended the 7th Armored division reunions.
He was preceded in life by his wife, Jane, nee Southard, Adelhardt, whom he married March 21, 1942 in Camp Polk, La., and who passed August 16, 2008; parents, Frank and Carrie, nee Frey, Adelhardt; and a brother, Lester Adelhardt.
Surviving him are his daughters, Cindy (Dennis) Westfall of Troy, Ill., Chris (Mark) Berg of Troy, Ill., and Carol (Wayne) Giles of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Brent (Jenny) Giles, Steven (Kim) Giles, Julie (Rodney) Purnell, David (Alicia) Lochmann, Scott (Kim) Lochmann, Alison (Tom) Underwood and Amanda Berg; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laverne Buehrer of Troy, Ill.

Visitation: Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday August 31, 2017 at Richeson Funeral Home and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Friedens United Church of Christ.
Services: Funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Douglas Seagle officiating. Burial with military honors at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
