Hazel Leach
Hazel M. Leach, 92, of Granite City, Ill., born Sept. 19, 1914, in Shook, Mo., died at 12:22 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Rosewood Care Center, Edwardsville, Ill.
Mrs. Leach lived with her husband Joseph in Missouri until 1945, they then moved their home to East St. Louis, Ill., where Hazel lived until 2001. Wanting to be near her family, she then moved to The Fountains in Granite City, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph L. Leach, whom she married Sept. 15, 1938, in Greenville, Mo., and who died March 6, 1997; her parents, Alexander and Ida, nee Beary, Jones; a brother, Orville Jones and a sister, Beaulah Jones.
Surviving are her children, Edwin R. (Verla) Leach of Granite City, Ill., and Evelyn M. McClure of St. Louis, Mo.; her grandchildren, Shelly Leach, Jason Leach and Tim McClure; other extended family and many dear friends.
Memorials may be made to City Temple, Granite City, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Irwin Maryville Road Chapel, Granite City, Ill., with the Rev. A.E. Cope officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
