1943 - 2015 POWNAL Grace H. Harnett, age 72, a resident of Park View Dr., died on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2015 at her home. She was born in Newport, RI, on May 11, 1943, and was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Longcor) Baker. She received her education in Hartford, CT schools. Grace had been a waitress in various area restaurants. She was a active member of the VFW Post 1332 Auxiliary in Bennington, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Bennington, and American Legion Post 634 of Cambridge, NY. She is survived by her life partner, Roger A. Pratt of Pownal, her children; Socorro (Ald) Armstrong on Enfield, CT, Denise (Aamar) Brown of East Hartford, CT, Deborah (Bruce) Pollansky of Coventry, CT, Grace Ann Hart (Chris LeBlanc) of Enfield, CT, and Sean Hartnett of South Windsor, CT. She leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one brother, William Baker of Lewiston, ME, and nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by three sons; Michael Hartnett, Gregory Brown and James Hartnett, as well as one daughter, Kimberly Reel and one granddaughter, Hope Hartnett. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
