John Anthony Smith, born on December 19, 1967, in Benton, Arkansas, departed this life on December 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and joy. He was 56 years old.

Throughout his career in residential construction, John excelled as a skilled carpenter. His dedication to his craft and his reliable nature forged a path that was admired by many who had the pleasure to work alongside him. John's professionalism and commitment to quality were evident in every project he undertook.

John was known for his radiant smile that could illuminate any room. His infectious humor and knack for storytelling made gatherings lively and enjoyable. Friends and family alike cherished his ability to spread laughter and joy wherever he went. John was a dependable individual; if he didn’t have what someone needed, he would always find a way to ensure they got it.

Beyond work, John had a passion for outdoor adventures. He loved the feeling of freedom as he rode his motorcycle, and moments spent fishing brought him great peace and happiness.  John enjoyed trying his luck at Oaklawn Casino in Hot Springs. Friends teasingly referred to Oaklawn as John’s “mistress”.

John’s family was of utmost importance to him. He is survived by his daughters, Dreamy Raine Smith and Heaven Skye Smith, and his cherished grandchildren, Cohen Donner and Ella Donner. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will hold his memory dear and miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Kaine Smith, as well as his father, Harvey "Hot" Smith, and his mother, Judy (Cloud) Berry.

A visitation in memory of John will be held on December 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas.

His enduring spirit will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
