Bert Novasio Obituary

Bert Novasio, 83, of Billings, passed away on April 18, 2004. He was born in Billings on April 23, 1920, to John and Viola Novasio, where he lived his whole life.

At a young age, Bert enlisted in the Army, and following his four years of service during WWII, he returned to marry Shirley Ann Carter. Bert and Shirley's marriage lasted over 50 years, until Shirley's death in 2000.

Bert loved to fish and enjoyed spending time with his dachshund puppies. He was a loving father and grandfather and a man who consistently put others' needs before his own. His family will miss greatly.

Survivors include his three sons, Gary Novasio of Billings, Ron Novasio of Billings and Mike Novasio of Seattle; four granddaughters, Christy of Portland, Ore., Anessa of New York City, Yvonne of Missoula and Nina, also of Missoula; two great-grandsons; and two sisters, Barbara Clark of Billings and Harriet Janich of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann; his parents; and the rest of his siblings.

As Bert requested, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. His urn will be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Michelotti-Sawyers is in charge of arrangements.
