CHRISTOPHER R. HUGHES

HUGHES, Christopher R. 79, of Hyde Park, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 while a resident at Royal Braintree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree. Son of the late Frank and Marguerite Hughes. Loving brother to John S. of Pembroke, Vincent of Tennessee, and the late Marguerite Moulin, Nancy Hannon, and James. Uncle to 18 nieces and nephews. Chris spent his life living in his childhood home in Hyde Park. He graduated from Hyde Park High School, earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Stonehill College and a Master's degree in Education from Boston State. Chris was a devoted teacher at Boston Latin Academy for over 30 years. Chris served as the historian for the family having a remarkable ability to remember dates and events. Chris was devoted to his Catholic faith, serving in many different voluntary positions at the Most Precious Blood Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 24th at Most Precious Blood Church, 25 Maple St., Hyde Park, MA 02136 at 10 o'clock. Interment Private.
