Evie Boynton Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the Boynton family lost their beloved matriarch, Evie Boynton at noon on December 30, 2014 as a result of complications from cancer. During Evie's last few moments she was surrounded by her many beloved family members who said prayers and gave thanks to her for being such an important part of their lives. Evie was born on January 15 in 1924. Evie married Pete Boynton in 1952. Pete worked at Boeing for thirty five years and was a wonderful husband and father. Evie and Pete loved taking the family to their cabin on Hood Canal, hiking on Mt. Rainer and traveling throughout the world. They also loved animals and at one time had fifteen dogs, a monkey, a parrot, a tortoise and a screech owl all living in their home. After retiring from Boeing Pete and Evie could often be seen at craft shows throughout the Northwest where they sold rings, necklaces and other fine pieces of jewelry that Evie made. Evie was a kind and incredibly gentle person. Her positive attitude and spirit was appreciated by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her three children, Candy, Mark and Cheryl who feel a great gap in their lives with their mother's departure. She will also be truly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and friends. She was an incredible inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Evie was a lovely lady and an accomplished jeweler. I first met her at an Edmonds Arts Festival. My husband bought my wedding ring from her and she resized it. One day at a dock in the Edmonds Marina, one of Evie's daughter recognized her mom's work on my finger. I have several pieces of Evie's work and I love all of them. She will be missed.
