Ed and Family:
Mrs. Jackman was an outstanding teacher; I had her 1986-1987. She set me up for success for the rest of my life. I often tell my children, now 6 and 8, the story of how I was talking out of turn and Mrs. Jackman disciplined me. I can still hear her voice over 30 years later and it brings a smile to my face. True to her word, I got an N on my report card that quarter for self discipline. It was the only N I ever got. Now I'm a Army Lieutenant Colonel and US Army Aviator thanks in part to that day in her classroom at Trahan School. God Bless you Mrs. Jackman and may your family rejoice in the wonderful memories from your life.

Ed, Edward and Jeffrey,
I was deeply saddened and in disbelief when I heard of Maureen's passing a few hours ago. Working with Maureen was always a pleasure. I often visited her classroom to see her in action with her first graders as she displayed kindness, caring and patience to all. Maureen was someone who could be counted upon to share a laugh or smile to lighten the day. The qualities of sensitivity, gentleness and dedication made her the perfect mother and teacher. I am deeply sorry for the sudden loss of Maureen and the aching in your hearts. Truly a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. May she rest in eternal peace.
