Met Kitt when he was at PSU. His roommate Dick Nester and I were friends from Allentown and I became acquainted with Kitt(West Halls the same room for many years). I knew him as Kitt and not Wally and lost touch after their graduation. Too young! Sorry for your loss!

Rest in peace Wally...As I searched for a card to send to my niece and nephew the first one I picked up said in memory of a special man as I looked and looked I returned to that card as it is so appropriate...We had some great times with Wally both in MA and CA...When he was here the guest room had a balcony and Wally would sit out there and read and watch the animals including of course the birds...The balcony will be forever known as Wally's porch...On one of our visits Wally had recently retired and took us to shops to find little gifts for our grandchildren...Bob saw a hat he liked and I said you have too many hats and we went on our way...On the day we were leaving to return home Wally walked in with a bag and handed it to Bob and in the bag was the hat such great memories...Also on that shopping trip we met some parents of Wally's students who said "it is so good to see you Mr K our child loved being your student or you were considered their best teacher" A kind gentle person who will always have a place in our hearts. We will miss you Wally....Love to Jane and JT

Today I learned of Mr. K's passing. He was the first person to introduce me to the world of biology. I vividly remember my first look under a microscope in his class. We were looking at yogurt and I was amazed (and grossed out) to see that there were organisms moving under the lens. That was the beginning of my relationship with biology that has continued to amaze and gross me out! I feel blessed to have had such an enthusiastic teacher whose infectious laugh I will never forget. My heart goes out to the Forestdale community and especially Mrs. K and TJ as they mourn this great loss

Wally seemed to find great joy in life, and he wanted others to feel the same. He was much loved(My eighth graders raved about him!)and those smiling, twinkling eyes will be greatly missed. Jane, we're keeping your Marshland seat warm and looking forward to seeing you as we share your sadness. You and your family are in my prayers.

Wally's smile and laugh will always be a part of a Forestdale school! He was a kind, caring, and awesome teacher. He loved what he did and it showed. My children and I are better for having known him! Arleen Mark and Family
