Virginia Marks Obituary
Levittown - Virginia M. Marks, age 86, of Levittown, PA, passed away on March 26, 2021. She was born to the late Grover and Esther (nee Meyer) Halsell in Lebanon, PA. Ginny was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked as an office administrator for Meenan Oil in Tullytown for many years. A long time and faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church in Levittown, she was a Sunday School teacher and served on the Evangelism Committee. Ginny also enjoyed gardening and general upkeep of the church property. She and her husband are original Levittown homeowners; where they started their journey together as husband and wife and raised their children. Ginny dedicated her life to serving others, especially her family. She will be remembered for being humble, kind and selfless.
Ginny is predeceased by her parents, Grover and Esther Halsell and siblings, Judy Livering, Leo Halsell and Curt Halsell.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years; William A. Marks, Jr.; children, Thomas Marks (Elizabeth) and Kathy McCormick (Kevin); grandchildren, Tarah Saxton, John Sheppard, Patrick McCormick, Kasey McCormick (Ryan Campbell), Peter Marks, and Laura Gower (Bradd); great grandchildren, Lily Gower, baby boy Gower, Robert Saxton, Nicholas Saxton, and Thomas Saxton; siblings, Thelma Grillo and Betty Feldenzer; special nephew, Tom Orbach; and many other loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 11:30am-12:30pm at Hope Lutheran Church, located at 2600 Haines Rd., Levittown, PA 19055. A funeral service will begin at 12:30pm at the church. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA at 2:30pm.
