Wow ten years. Does not seem possible. Every time I go down the hill to check traps I check the mirror to see if you are behind me. Trap checks are now 15 minutes instead of three hours. Boy we had the world figured out didn´t we???Miss ya bub

I remember all the wonderful days we spent at the lake,at heath st and times with our families fishing, a fire on the beach,boating,shooting baskets on heath st,family picnics,on snowmobiles, many days we spent happy and carefree in the sun,snow,wind and rain!I think of you/your family often and know God is now taking care of you/your family.we will see each other again my beloved cousin and friend and it will b like old times laughter and happiness!

Dear Laurie and Family, Betty Jean and I are very sorry for your loss, Rick was an awesome man and like many have already mentioned that whne you came to work here at the VTANG and Rick was at the gate you knew you were being greeted with a smile and a story. Betty and I once married, Rick would always state to me taht I was a lucky man to have such a wonderful woman like Betty which he would call BJ for short. Rick your joke's and stories will never be forgotten by Betty and I and you never will know that when there is a line at the front gate don't ever complain because someone who is protecting us here at work is brightening up your day when you arrive and they too may not be around long. Again, Laurie and family, we are sorry for your loss and Rick is, was and always will be a great man to all and will be dearly missed.

Laurie and Family, I am so very deeply sorry to learn of Rick's sickness and loss. Working with him at the Air Guard for many, many years, Rick was the constant friend that greeted me every time I approached the Air Base. He was a true professional, and a friend. When he announced his own retirement a few years back it was hard on many of us who consider him a friend. He was focused on getting his projects done and taking care of our old friend Mert. Rick was a good man who really touched us and made a difference. I will miss you old friend. Your family is my thoughts and prayers.

We are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Rick's passing. We are here in Florida with some of Rick's syrup! I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of a good guy, our "Ricky Bobby". I enjoyed our times together in Loudon with the Vermont Village Group. He sure knew how to fire up a crowd and have fun doing it. You and Rick were always good to me when we had some time for us at the campground, thanks for the memories. Rick was a true friend to lot of people also to my brother Rich; he was like a big brother to Rich. We will miss his humor but will be in thought in prayer. I pray for you Laurie and your family that Rick is in good hands now, he's looking down on you all wanting you all to keep the memories alive. Laurie,Alicia, Jason,, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. He left with such a loving family and we are glad that we were part of it.. His life ended too quickly and I ask myself why??? We had so much fun and memories that we shared together at the races, camping out at mom's place, boating, and helping Rick for the Very first time cleaning turkeys.. As our friendship stronger, he felt like a big brother to me and i learned so many things from this man.. We enjoyed going snowmobiling and motorcycle rides with our friends. Laurie and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I knew Rick from his many years working at the VTANG. Whenever I saw him working the gate or making his rounds I knew that there would be a great story or joke to hear, and probably some of his homemade jerky to sample; and if we were at the gate a traffic back up was sure to occur. Rick was one of those people who brightened up a room when he entered; and anyone who met him felt as if they had known him for ages and that he had always been their friend. Rick also had the knack of being able to ease another person's problems, I think through his down to earth way of looking at them. He touched so many of us over the years, and though he has passed on our great memories of Rick will endure. My condolences to all of you. God bless.

I am sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a wonderful man. I still remember the first time I met him. Alicia and I were still in school and decided to go sliding at your house. Rick looked intimidating, but immediately made me laugh and feel like family. I enjoyed our visits at the races. Rick will be greatly missed.

Laurie and Family, what can you say about a mans life in words when you have a lifetime of memories shared with Rick. I could tell you a lot of stories of Rick (Roofy) Scott . His long career with the Vermont Air National Guard where I met him in 1978. He greeted everyone with a smile and a story. When he called you a friend you were forever a brother to him and would do anything to help you even lend an ear when you were down and needed to talk about what was bothering you. Thanks for all the times we talked and the fun we and the boys had together. Everyone that knew him will have their favorite moment with Rick and a story to tell.

We will miss Rick in the neighborhood. He was always a good neighbor, willing to help any one in any way. David will always remember the cold windy day that our house burned and Rick stopped and gave David his coat to keep him warm. He was a good man who took care of his family.
