Dick Brammer Obituary

Vinton - Dick L. Brammer, age 57, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home. Private family burial.
Dickie Lee Brammer was born October 24, 1954 in Iowa City, the son of Henry and Mary Lou Blaine Brammer. He was raised in Corning, IA, and graduated from Greenfield H.S. in 1973. Dick married Janis Brammer in Vinton. He was a construction worker in the Vinton area all his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Janis, Vinton; his children Jerry (Rachel) Dedrick, Vinton, Eric Dedrick, Mary (Andrew Schott) Brammer and Blaine Brammer all of Brandon, IA; one brother, Curt Brammer, Afton, IA; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe Brammer, and one sister, Becky Brammer.
Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home is caring for Dick and his family. Condolences may be left at www.vsrfh.com.
