Eldon Goble Obituary
Mr. Goble, 83, of Matthews, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 6, 2012.
He was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana on December 18, 1928, the second child of William 'Earl' and Eva Malson Goble.
Eldon was a patriotic man who loved his country and was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950-52. He was also proud of his 50-plus years of Masonic service and membership.
He enjoyed reading, auto racing, researching genealogy, a good hot dog, popcorn, and homemade ice cream. But most of all, Eldon enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a fine example of a devoted Christian, faithful husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who demonstrated his love in selfless acts of service. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 56 years, Lucille; their children, Denise and Tommy Mann, Jeff and Sherry Goble, Beth Ann Goble, Gary and Jill Goble; his grandchildren, Brandon and Cassidy Mann, Emily and Kyle Jamison, Justin Goble, Anna Goble, Jacob Mann, Grace Goble, Noah Goble, and Sam Goble; and his sister Rosemary Sutton.
A service for the celebration of Eldon's life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive. Visitation immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to c/o Hope Christian Church, 1562 Hawthorne Drive, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

We remember Eldon as a wonderful Christian example to everyone. While we are sad at his passing, we rejoice that he is now with his Lord and will one day be reunited with the family he loved so much. Lucy, you and your family are in our prayers.
