Linda Polk Obituary

Linda Polk
October 20, 1948 - September 9, 2022
Bowling Green, Kentucky - Linda Kay Blue Polk: daughter, sister, mother, grandma, friend, and Carolina Panther fan.
Linda was born October 20, 1948 and passed away September 9, 2022 in Bowling Green, KY with family by her side.
Born at Fort Brag, NC to Sargent Major James and Laverne (Matthews) Blue, she was the youngest of 3 sisters. Judy Harmon, her oldest sister, passed away on June 7th, 2007, and the middle sister passed away at her birth on March 1, 1946. She is survived by her son, Larry Polk, his wife, Jenna Polk, and grandsons, Corban Polk and Zane Polk. She loved and doted on these boys and would do anything for them.
In the fall of 2017, she was diagnosed with dementia and moved to Bowling Green, KY in 2019 to be closer to her son and his family.
Her mind is now healed, and she has received her reward for a life well-lived. She loved deeply, gave generously, and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be Sept 24th 10am-12pm at Providence Rd church of Christ (4900 Providence) with a graveside service for the family afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Alzheimer's Association.

I miss you my friend!
Wished you were here. I can´t believe it has been a year already. I hope we see each other again to share more stories and laughs together. You were such a wonderful person, who radiated so much positivism and energy.

I am so sad to hear about you leaving us Linda. You were such a happy, smart and genuine lady whom I was fortunate to have crossed paths with. You will definitely be missed. You were my work buddy staying late every night working and walking together to our cars. You were such a hard working, fun, charismatic and generous woman. I hope to see you again. RIP my friend.

She was a wonderful friend. Always generous with her time and wisdom to anyone who knew her in the Charlotte office. May her memory be a blessing.

Larry and Family - so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I worked in the same office in Charlotte with her for many years and she also worked in my Columbia, SC office too. Please know that we will carry you and your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend her service in Charlotte as I have a wedding on the same day, but will be thinking about your family, sincerely ~

Linda was my cubicle neighbor for several years before she retired. We shared many stories and laughs together. I'm so glad to see she made it to KY to be with her family. She talked about you all the time. I wish you all peace and comfort during this time. And I pray that you feel nothing but joy when you think about the memories you've shared.

Larry, I was privileged to work with your mom in Charlotte on those "dirty cases". Linda sure knew what she was doing. She was truly a joy to be around. You and your family will be in my prayers in the coming days. Terri Archie
