It's been a very long time, and things were never the same after Scott's passing. I was putting in some old childhood friends names on Facebok and came across this. Sorry to hear about your Husband Mrs. Suffka, and your father Kurt and Dean. I have been living in Southern California since getting out of school, and moved to Phoenix 5 years ago to be closer to my parents who retired to Tucson several years ago.

Dear Mrs. Suffka, Kurt, and Dean;
Thinking this evening about years gone by; thinking about the Suffka family; searched the Web to find that Dr. Suffkas has passed; only met the Doctor once at Northwestern, but surely know who he was, and also what he meant to so many others.
Take care my friends; we will always always know love and loss.
My arms are around you all.
Kurt: you can call any time.

Mrs. Suffka (I just have to call you that!), Dean and Kurt,
You can imagine the flood of memories that overwhelmed me when I heard of Docs passing. You were my second parents and second family for the all formative years of my life. I have so many memories of all of you! I'll share one of them - Doc fitted all the Niles North football players with mouthpieces. Somehow, I was allowed a special dispensation as a GBSer to get fitted myself. i remember feeling so privileged! So many others make me laugh and cry - some at the same time. At times like this it saddens me that we have fallen out of communication. I do want to express my sympathy to you and my love for all of you. I'd also like to send regards from Dave, Mary Ann, Marti, and Sam. May you draw near to God! Hank - the 3rd Twin.

Hey Ed, keep a cold beer and some cheese waiting for me and we'll go out for a Beef Sandwich at the Bakery in Hebron or Bopps in Harvard, later on! We sure had some nice times hanging out at Shagbark and telling stories, and I was glad to take care of your plants while you were away. I still have the unopened bottle of the Ed Suffka Brew which was labled for your 75th birthday. I will continue to keep it throughout my years. You were always game for socializing, and it was great having you as a weekend neighbor and advocate for improvements at our residence. As I told your son today, I keep your comment, "Good Luck Buddy" as a personal message on my cell phone, and I can hear you say it every time I read it. So, now it's my turn, Good Luck Buddy!, and thanks for the opportunity to have known you. Condolences to Ed's family. We should all be so lucky to have such a long and rich life as Ed had.

Dear Kurt & Dean:

I was very sorry to read of your father's passing. Even though we lost touch, I have often wondered how you were all doing.

Please accept my condolences to your family.

Fondly,
