Ettore Giovannetti Obituary
Ettore L. Giovannetti, 84, born June 17, 1929 passed away April 17, 2014. Survived by his loving wife, Lauretta (nee Brancaccio); his children Anthony (Cheryl), Julie (Donald) Scrivner, Robert, Laureen (Mark) Andre, and Daniel (Judy); proud grandfather of Jaime (Mark) Tack, AJ Giovannetti, Donald and Jackie Scrivner, Daniel (Shawn) Andre, Michael (Jennifer) Andre, Caitlyn (fiancé Jason Nikowitz) Andre, Robert Andre, and the late Mark Andre, Nicholas (fiancée Jaclyn Cavers) Giovannetti, Samantha, Joseph, and Danielle Giovannetti; proud great grandfather of Aiden, Gavin, Madison, and Isabella; son of the late Louis and Angelina (nee Manfredini) Giovannetti; dearest brother of Marina (late Leon) Roggi and Louis (Ruth) Giovannetti; and proud uncle of many nieces and nephews Ettore was a proud veteran of the Korean War. He was a dedicated benefactor and member of the Board of Trustees of St. Patrick's High School. Ettore was a fixture at UPS for 36 years and maintained many life long friendships. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Patrick High School in Chicago or St. Mary of Providence in Chicago in his memory, would be greatly appreciated. He will be sorely missed. Visitation Tuesday 3-9:00 p.m. at Colonial -Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Rd., Niles. I've known Mr. Gio for the 44 years I've been at St. Pats. He was a wonderful man and great friend to St. Patrick High School. Mr. and Mrs. Gio gave us the honor and pleasure of working with their sons (and one daughter-in-law)! Only health issues are making me miss the wake and funeral, but rest assured that the entire Giovannetti will remain in my prayers. I know that he and Ed Rakoczy are organizing at Casino Night once again.

It was an honor and a privilege to have known and worked with Tony. He helped so many of us work our way through the ranks of UPS.
He was a great person and will be missed. May God rest his soul.

To the Giovanetti Family, "Tony G" was a good guy and very dear friend of my Dad's, John McDonald, remember many great and funny stories about U.P.S. !!! It has been nearly 35 years since my Dad passed and I know Tony G., my Dad and Jim Ewing has a lot of catching up to do. St. Pat's has lost a true dedicated and loyal friend, also many fond memories of LasVegas nites at St.Pat's. Use to love stopping by on Newport Ave. To say hello. See you later Tony G. Hello Laura,
It's with heartfelt sorrow to hear about the loss of Anthony. Karen and I will keep you and your family in our daily prayers. Anthony was a wonderful person and one I airways looked up to in my formative years on Avers avenue. So kind, so caring , so loving. I know you will miss him dearly. We are down here in Florida and will not be able to attend his funeral service. At funerals they always say we lost our loved ones, but we haven't lost Anthony. We know exactly where he is - in one of those rooms Jesus prepared for him in Heaven where we will see him again. It is with all our love and prayers that we wish you the best.
