Alissa Wrightsel Obituary

Alissa Wrightsel

CHILLICOTHE - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved, Alissa Faye Wrightsel, 43, of Chillicothe, on Friday July 6, 2018. Alissa left us without warning, and flew into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Alissa was born on May 14, 1975 in Chillicothe to Joseph Wrightsel and Cindy Barnes. She is survived by; her father; sister, Angela Wrightsel; aunts, Sueann Merriman, and Connie(Shawn) Hamilton; uncles; Paul (Michael) Wrightsel, Todd (Carla) Wrightsel, Mike Wrightsel, and Adam Wrightsel; cousins, Tami, Justin, Jimmy, Christopher, Casey, Trevor, and Tyler Wrightsel; a second cousin, Melissa Kuntz; a special brother (cousin) and best friend, Brandon Wrightsel; a special sister (cousin) and best friend, Rebekah Wrightsel; and her beloved dog: D.O.G (DeeOoGee). Alissa was preceded in death by a great grandmother, Alice M. Sparks; grandmothers, Patricia A. Barnes, and Margaret E. Wrightsel; grandfather, Charles R. Wrightsel; mother, Cindy J. Barnes; brother, Jessen Wrightsel; and a special cousin, Dustin M. Wrightsel.

She was a free spirit that loved unconditionally and brought fun and laughter wherever she went. Alissa loved to party and make new friends. She was a positive person who always saw the best in people. She loved music, dancing, cooking, animals, her family, and Jesus Christ. Alissa believed in God with all her heart and had a personal relationship with Jesus since she was very young. She gave love relentlessly and unconditionally to the people she cared about. Alissa truly lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for her crazy personality, boisterous voice, ability to make people smile, and her compassionate soul.

Alissa was especially passionate for animals. She grew up riding horses with her pap-paw and collected horse figurines throughout her childhood. Alissa loved cats and dogs, especially pit bulls. Her dog, D.O.G., was her pride and joy, and was there with her when she passed.

Alissa went to Westland High School and attended college at Ohio University-Chillicothe. She worked in several different locations throughout Chillicothe including Vitatoe's, McDonalds, Wendy's, and The Chillicothe Inn. She also worked on a road crew in Port Richie, Florida where she lived for over a year. What Alissa lacked in book smarts, she made up for a hundred times in street smarts. She also was a huge fan of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Vampire Lestat, Anne Rice, and Stephen King.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Shane Browning officiating. Friends may call 11-1 Monday at Haller's. Her online memorial register is available at www.HallerFuneralHome.com.
