Megan Elizabeth Walsh

Megan Elizabeth Walsh, 36, of Mountain Top, and formerly of Laflin, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Kingston on June 12, 1979, she was the daughter of Jane Walsh Waitkus, Frank Waitkus and the late Richard Walsh.

Megan was a graduate of Crestwood High School and Penn State University, and a member of St. Jude Parish, Mountain Top.

She is survived by her children, Genavive, Dylan and Zariah. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Kieran Walsh; her sister, Maura Walsh Conklin and her husband, Jamie Conklin; her uncle, George Michaels; an aunt, Carol Michaels; and numerous cousins. She is also survived by the father of her children, Zigmund Januszewski.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ann and George Michaels, Plains Township; and Mary and Daniel Walsh, Exeter; and her uncles, Daniel M. Walsh and Aloysius Kress.

The family is grateful to the staff at Temple Fox Chase Bone Marrow Unit, the Be the Match Organization and Megan's stem cell donor from Germany.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her children's education fund, in care of Jane Walsh Waitkus, 987 Prospect Road, Mountain Top, PA 18707.

Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Jude Parish, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with the Rev. Joseph J. Evanko, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Those attending the Funeral Mass are asked to go directly to St. Jude's Church on Monday.
