CJ, Carl, Scrapper, over the 45 years of friendship I knew you as all of those. The good times and bad at THS and after.
10 years of working together. Never a lock we didn't get the best of.
And as friends, a 2am phone call from either of us to the other brought help.
Always love you man.

We picked CJ to be Godfather to our daughter Meagan..based on the great man he is, he was so proud of that honor and I distinctly remember at her birth that he smelled like a pharmacy, as he made sure he was germ free before he held "his" baby girl.
Jesse your Dad was so proud of you, those grandkids and your mate. He told me many stories of fun times with his boy. I will miss your father so much.. peace to your family

I met Scrapper many yrs ago, and stayed in touch at times. Met him at the blues fest, and had him do a few locks for me. We rode a bit also.
He was a good guy, and a big heart. I'll miss seeing him at the Blues Fest. My heart felt sorrow, he was taken to young.

Scrapper, my brother and friend--a lot of life and laughs. Ride free now. Jesse, your dad, one of a kind. I held you as a baby, saw you grow into the wonderful man and dad you are. Scrapper, always so proud of you and Aaron. My thoughts are with you and your family. Scrapper, my life and so many others are better just for having you in it.

David and family, and C.J's family...you know I go way back when I think of Carl as "C.J." From birth (next door neighbors both born in 1955) through Gage, Roosevelt Jr High and THS ('73), I guess I finally called him Carl at some point. We walked back and forth to Gage together, rode with Mr. Haynes (Tobe)when it was cold and watched CJ play Army in the empty lot. I was shocked when I read the paper. While I had not seen Carl for many years, the memories all came back. From what I have read Carl was a wonderful guy. He always had a smile and I have the class pictures to show that. I bet your parents / grandparents, Pete and Tobe to us, welcomed him with open arms. God Bless.

Jesse, you know that I have no words to make you and your family feel any better. I often wish that I might have learned how to better express my condolences by now, but some things we never learn to do well. He was a good guy and so proud of the boy that you were and even more so for the man you grew in to. You made him very happy. Our condolences and heartfelt wishes for the sorrow to lighten soon. We are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a good man, and a friend to so many. We will miss him stopping by on his way home. Many memories where shared on our front porch. If we where not out, he would always honk the horn on the bike as he went by. And we would laugh and say "there goes Carl". He will be greatly missed. Isn't it ironic that I knew you for most of my life, but didn't really ever talk with you until the last ten years or so? I really enjoyed our conversations, and know that all of my family-Mike and Glee Peet included-will miss you so. Enjoy riding with the old school brothers, give 'em all crap for me, and will look forward to the days that we can all ride together. Much love till then.
