Greenwood

Maxine Wilson Edwards, 89, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at South Sunflower County Hospital. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS.

She was born in Webster County, MS; and was a resident of Greenwood since age 19 until 8 years ago when she moved to Indianola, MS. She retired after a career in sales with Sears. She worked with Greenwood Leflore Hospital before retirement twenty years ago.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Terrell and husband, Mitch of Indianola, MS; and her daughter, Beth Crawford and husband, John of Starkville, MS; five grandchildren, Mitchell Terrell and wife, Lisa of Indianola, MS; Shea Terrell of Indianola, MS; Emily Fowler and husband, Matt of Columbus, MS; Caroline Coughlin and husband, Seth of Dallas, TX; and Kendell Crawford of Starkville, MS; seven great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Jay, Kelli, Reed, Peyton, Charlie, and Anna Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wilson, Sr.; and son, Charles E. "Eddie" Wilson, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Pittman, Jimmy Matthews, Sid Herring, Matt Fowler, Mitchell Terrell, Shea Terrell, Lynn Pyron, and Mickey Matthews.
